Hey friends,
The biggest mistake smart job seekers make isn’t having a bad resume or not working hard enough.
It’s doing exactly what everyone tells them to do…
Be patient.
Apply more.
It’s a numbers game.
And although these pieces of advice sound reasonable, they’re actually keeping you invisible.
Most people polish their resume, submit application after application, and assume effort equals progress.
But if they could only see what’s actually happening behind the scenes…
They would realize that a lot of that effort is completely wasted.
Because at any given moment there are two job searches happening at the same time.
One happens publicly, on job boards, after roles are posted and when competition is at its highest.
The other happens much earlier through visibility, familiarity, and quiet conversations.
That second one isn’t about posting every day or becoming a LinkedIn influencer.
It’s about positioning yourself before decisions are made.
In my next email, I’m breaking down how people strategically build that positioning without spamming, awkward outreach, or turning LinkedIn into a second job.
Talk soon!
