Hi friend,
There is a strange paradox happening in the job market right now:
Record-high ambitions met with record-low confidence.
A recent study (Which you can see by clicking here) showed that over half (56%) of the US workforce is ready to to level up and take the next step in their career.
Whether that’s a bigger paycheck, a step up in title, or a role with a more meaningful impact.
But at the same time…
A staggering 76% of those same people admit they feel “unprepared” to actually go after the job they want.
And if you’re reading this, there’s a pretty good chance you fall into that first group…
You want more.
But you’re currently sitting on the sidelines because you don’t feel “ready enough” to hit apply.
So I wanted to send this today just to tell you: Apply anyway.
Don’t let the noise of imposter syndrome or that nagging feeling of being “under-qualified” keep you from taking your shot.
Because the data proves what I’ve personally seen for years…
Most people are more than capable of doing the work, they just haven’t figured out how to sell that capability yet.
The problem isn’t a lack of talent on your part, but simply a gap between the skills you actually have and the confidence you need to show them off.
Which is why if you see a job that matches what you’re looking for…
Apply for it, be confident, and remember that being ready is a decision you make, not a feeling you wait for.
Rooting for you always, Megan
