Hi friends!
Although it’s always fun to talk about this topic…
Whether the job market is bad or not isn’t actually that important of a question.
For example, let’s take two different scenarios:
The job market is doing okay. There are solid opportunities out there and people are getting hired.
The job market is absolutely horrible. Companies are freezing roles, recruiters are quiet, and applications seem to vanish into thin air.
In either case, the outcome is the same:
You still need a job.
And I’m guessing you want that job to also be fulfilling, pay well, and to match your overall goals.
So instead of spending your energy questioning the state of the job market, you should focus on what’s actually within your control:
The things that make you more discoverable and desirable as a candidate.
Our brains only have so much “real estate”.
Which is why you shouldn’t be filling that space worrying about the economy, hiring trends, or “how bad things are out there”…
Instead, use it to build something you can control. Your personal brand, your LinkedIn presence, your visibility.
Because when things do start turning around (and they always do), you’ll already be miles ahead of everyone else.
And your future self will thank you.
